With the advice of our mentor Billy, we finally decided to finish the commercial in pure CG so that we could make every element controllable. At the same time, Cyle suggested we add a product shot, which would complete the film and have a rhythm of special effects + product + special effects shots.
Overall, this week I will work with Ethan to create one shot with the product and modify the hero shot.
Ethan and I completed this shot based on his render test in week 3. He was responsible for the technical part and I was responsible for the aesthetics and composition. I higher the camera focal length to make it in less perspective and more graphic, and I also placed the left edge line of the speaker outside the painting, leaving the right edge line vertical.
Here is the result after compositing. I added some smoke so that the background on the right would not be empty.

I planned to use the circle as the main element of shot 5. Make the rocks the most complex part of the whole picture, and the rest of the materials are as simple as possible, so that they can form a sharp contrast.
On the other hand, I didn't want the circle to be so repetitive, so finally I decided to make a spiral architecture rather than circle celling.
The image on the right is the render test for shot 5. Maria Modeled the scene with some adjustments done by Ethan and me, and Cailins did the rock. Ethan did the light.
